My name is Shelby Sorvillo, welcome to the Dreamy Doula! Having experienced my first birth as an uninformed teenager, I have a strong passion for informed and supported birth work. As a mother of 4 who has personally experienced a wide range of births, from traumatic to serene, I can empathize with you. From pregnancy, to birth and postpartum care I am committed to supporting you and working together to create the birth experience of your dreams. I firmly believe everyone deserves to be supported and cared for as they navigate birth and parenthood.

My mission as a birth worker is to ensure you feel confident advocating for your needs, and support you on your birth and parenting journey as you navigate such a delicate time in your life. Whether you are a new or experienced parent, the unknown of adding a new baby to your life can be stressful. I am here for you.  

My focus is to provide quality, inclusive care to individuals and families. As your birth doula, I am here to help guide you through each step. I am here to help you make informed decisions, by providing you with information so that YOU are the one writing your birth story. I am an advocate at your side ensuring you have the experience you deserve, a friend when you need support in the middle of the night, a consultant on birth positions and breastfeeding, and more. As your postpartum doula, I’m committed to supporting not just the birthing person, but the family as a whole. I’m a shoulder to cry on, a chef, expert laundry folder, baby sleep fairy, and a walking reminder for the birth person to hydrate!
